ARTS CULTURE TRADITIONAL CEREMONY SUMATERA INDONESIA

*MANGONGKAL HOLI BATAK CEREMONY

Mangokal Holi is one of ceremony ceremony from Batak north Sumatera. Mangokal Holi is a ceremony performed by the majority of the Toba Batak tribes. Maybe you ever heard about beautiful Toba like, If you visit Lake Toba do not forget to attend Mangokal Holi ceremony that one of art traditional ceremony in Sumatera. Indonesia. The ceremony is usually performed by a group of clans, namely to establish a monument (grave ancestor) by digging graves of their ancestor and held his bones to be buried in the monument.

*HOMBO BATU CEREMONY-NIAS

The tradition of stone jumping is a rite of culture to determine whether a young man in the village Bawo Matalou be recognized as a young man who has grown or not. The young men will be recognized as the  brave men and eligible for marriage if it can jump over a pile of rocks that made such a height of more than two meters. Woooow jumping stone until two meters, is amazing right. There is special ritual before the youth jump. Hombo (jump) stone is a very popular tradition in the community South Nias Sumatera. This tradition is carried out by people in the village Bawo Matalou ( sun-hill ). Mata Lou Bawo village ia a village rich in Megalithic sites (large stone) carved and includes traditional residential Nias ( homo Hada )   

*TABUIK CEREMONY SUMBAR

Tabuik ceremony is come from West Sumatera Indonesia. This art traditional ceremony Indonesia Sumatera derived from the word ‘tabut’, from Arabic which means paraded, Tabuik ceremony is a tradition in the west coast, west Sumatera, who held hereditary. The ceremony was held at the Asura day, that falls on the 10th of Muharam of Islamic calendar. In the pointed day since 06:00 in the morning, all participants and completeness and should be ready in main city. 

The government officials also attended ceremony in the most colossal in west Sumatera. One Tabuik appointed by the bearer, which accounted for 40 people. Behind Tabuik, traditionally dressed group of people who bring a variety of percussion instruments such as drum, helped fill the ranks. Occasionally the procession stopped and dozens of people who play typical Minang arts into action while accompanied tetabuhan. At sunset, the procession ended. Both Tabuik brought to shore and then floated out to the sea. This is done because there is a belief that removal of this  tabuik to the sea, to throw bad lucky. In addition this moment is also believed to be the time Bouraq flew into the sky, carrying all kinds arakanya.
